Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 2:00 am. Be sure to change your clocks and watches back 1 hour before you go to bed the night of Saturday, November 1.
What else do you need to do?
Check all your batteries... emergency flashlights, clocks, smoke and Carbon monoxide detectors, etc... WAIT... forget that. Don't check them... just replace the batteries with new for safety sake! Use the batteries that are currently in these devices for something else (music player, remote control, things you won't need in an emergency) and replace them with brand new batteries so you know they'll be working and ready to go if a disaster occurs and you need to bug out!

With the change, many of us will be going to work and returning from work in the dark. No fun... why not brighten your day with some fresh flowers, funny posters, or decorated bandages?
While you're hunkering down for the winter - remember to have safe, warm emergency supplies in your car, and warmers for your hands, shoes, and pockets!
Whatever you do... make a change... learn something new, and try something new each day - it'll keep you young!
